Prohibited & restricted goods

• Illegal goods, stolen property or goods obtained through fraud
• Illicit drugs and controlled substances
• Counterfeit, pirated or trademark-infringing goods
• Weapons, ammunition, firearms and explosives
• Hazardous, dangerous or regulated goods — flammable, corrosive, toxic, oxidising or radioactive materials
• Live animals
• Perishable food or goods requiring temperature control, unless specifically agreed in writing
• Cash, bullion or negotiable instruments above agreed value limits

• High-value goods above the available Goods in Transit cover limit
• Fragile or breakable items without adequate protective packaging
• Heavy, oversized or two-person items beyond vehicle suitability
• Items requiring special licensing, handling or documentation (for example certain medical, legal or evidentiary items)
• Goods moved across regions where additional permits or compliance apply

Goods must be adequately packaged for road transit. Items that are inadequately packaged, or not disclosed accurately at the quotation stage, will not be accepted. Misdeclaration of goods, value or handling requirements may void transit cover.

If you are unsure whether an item can be carried, tell us before booking — we will confirm suitability honestly rather than attempt a job the vehicle or cover cannot support.

Courier insurance is in place on every accepted job. Goods in Transit cover is available up to £50,000 per vehicle, subject to policy terms, goods type, value and full job details. Cover above standard limits is not guaranteed and must be confirmed before booking.
